Why print in PLA?
PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a popular 3D printing material with several advantages:
Ease of use
PLA prints easily at low temperatures (190–220°C), hardly warps, and does not require a heated print bed. Ideal for beginners.
Environmentally friendly
Made from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugarcane; biodegradable under industrial composting conditions.
Safety
Produces no harmful fumes during printing, making it suitable for home use and well-ventilated spaces.
Aesthetic quality
Delivers beautiful, smooth surfaces with vibrant colors and a glossy finish. Minimal post-processing required.
Affordability
One of the most affordable filaments on the market, widely available in various colors and variants.
Versatility
Suitable for decorative objects, prototypes, toys, and hobby projects. Available in special variants such as wood-fill, metal-fill, or glow-in-the-dark.
PLA is less suitable for functional parts that must withstand heat or mechanical stress, but for most hobby applications it is an excellent choice.
